Early involvement of the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team results in the integration of support and maintainability cost concerns in the design. CHAND’s experience in logistics activities provides valuable inputs to help control and manage support and maintainability costs.
CHAND analyzes vendor data to develop information regarding life cycle cost; reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A); maintenance; provisioning; technical manuals; and training. This analysis determines the system and equipment maintenance requirements, logistic support resources required to perform maintenance tasks, tools and test equipment, repair parts, and consumables.
Additional information includes overhaul schedule and estimated cost, fuel consumption, repairability, spare parts availability, supportability, and required training.
